VISITED : SIXTYSIX VISUAL LAB

เมื่อ Weekend ที่ผ่านมา ได้มีโอกาสไปเยี่ยมเยือนบ้านใหม่ของพี่พจน์ Sixtysix เป็นบ้าน Townhouse ที่ถูกตกแต่งใหม่เป็น Home Office “#SixtySixVisualLab” ที่สวยและน่าอยู่มากๆ เท่าที่ผมรู้จักพี่พจน์มาน่าจะประมาณ 10 ปีได้ ตอนนั้นพี่พจน์เป็นเด็กที่พึ่งเรียนจบ product design / graphic design กลับมาจากอังกฤษใหม่ๆ ประมาณปี 2005 ในตอนนั้นพี่พจน์มีของสุดหายากอย่าง Bapesta มาวางขายที่ร้านพี่สาวที่ศรีราชา และผมก็ได้ซื้อของกับพี่พจน์อยู่หลายอย่าง ตั้งแต่ที่ผมยังเดินทางไปกลับ กรุงเทพ-พัทยาอยู่บ่อยๆ พี่พจน์เป็นคนที่มี Option เจ๋งๆแบบที่ Pharrell ใส่ไม่ว่าจะเป็น Reebok Icecream Diamond & Dollar สีพิเศษที่ไม่มีจำหน่าย และพวกของ A Bathing Ape ไม่ว่าจะเป็นกางเกงยีนส์กระเป๋าดาว หมวก Camo Trucker และนอกเหนือจากนั้นพี่พจน์ยังเป็น Sneakersheads ตัวยงมาตั้งแต่ก่อนหน้านั้นแล้ว ไม่ว่าจะเป็นพวก Jordan ไปยัน Nike SB Paris, London ก็มีครบ (ไม่แน่ใจว่าผู้อ่านจะรู้ตื่นเต้นไปกับผมหรือเปล่านะ)

หลายๆปีผ่านมา พี่พจน์เป็นคนที่ผมยอมรับว่าเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่น่านับถือทั้งในด้านมุมมองการใช้ชีวิต ทางด้านของแนวคิด และการทำงาน สิ่งที่เราทราบและเห็นอยู่บ่อยๆก็คือการพลิกแพลง การประดิษฐ์ สิ่งของเพื่อประยุคและนำไปใช้จริง ของเล่น Gadget หรือเทคโนโลยีใหม่ๆ ยกตัวอย่างในสมัย iphone 1 พี่พจน์ก็จะมี widget แปลกๆ hack ใส่ลงไป หรือแม้กระทั่งมี icon หน้าจอที่เป็น theme เป็นของตัวเองบ้าง ซึ่งมันเป็นอะไรที่เจ๋งสุดๆ นอกเหนือจากนั้นคือ ทุกคนมี iphone 1 สีเดียวกัน แต่พี่พจน์มีสีพิเศษเป็นสีดำแดง และก็เปิดรับทำในจำนวนจำกัดอีกด้วย

นอกเหนือจากนั้น พี่พจน์ยังเป็นหนึ่งในคนที่มีรสนิยมดี ในเรื่องการแต่งตัว และใช้ของมาตลอดเวลาที่รู้จักกัน ของที่พี่พจน์ใช้ จะไม่ใช่ของโหล ส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นของที่โคตรล้ำ ล้ำแบบไม่เคยเห็นมาก่อนในชีวิตอะไรแบบนั้น รถยนต์ก็เหมือนกัน ตั้งแต่ปี 2005 พี่พจน์ขับรถ BMW Series1 สีดำ ติดฟิมล์ดำทั้งคัน ดำกระทั่งล้อแม็กซ์ ลองคิดดูคุณเคยเห็น BMW Series1 บ่อยแค่ไหนกันบนท้องถนน

แต่วันนี้ผมมาเจอพี่พจน์ ผมมาสัมภาษณ์พี่พจน์เรื่องเกี่ยวกับถ่ายภาพในคอลัมน์ #sneakavibes ผมไปสัมภาษณ์คอลัมน์นี้มาหลายคนแล้ว มีอยู่สองคนคือ Wirun และ RQ777 ที่พูดถึงแรงบันดาลใจของเค้าว่าเป็นพี่พจน์ ซึ่งผมก็ไม่แปลกใจ เพราะพี่พจน์ก็คือแรงบันดาลใจของผมเช่นกัน ผมถามคำถามต่างๆถึงเรื่องราวความเป็นมาเป็นไป ก่อนที่ SixtySix Visual จะเกิดขึ้น ถามถึงแรงบันดาลใจของพี่พจน์ และเรื่องอนาคต ถามว่ามีอะไรอีกไหมที่อยากทำ และยังไม่ได้ทำ หาคำตอบของเรื่องราวบทสัมภาษณ์ของ SixtySix Visual ได้ที่ www.sneakavilla.net เร็วๆนี้

Last weekend I had a chance to visit a new home of Poj Patrick Kanjanahattakij or you may know him as Sixtysix. A renovated townhouse in downtown Bangkok, stands out from the crowd in minimal style. It is a beautiful home office of, “#SixtySixVisualLab,” that has been beautifully decorated in modern loft.  Back in 2005, when A Bathing Ape was just introduced to American world through Pharrell. I found that a Bapesta, a rare item that really hard to get, reselling at his sister’s shop in Sri Racha, Chonburi. The owner was P’Poj, that was how we met. He just graduated from Product /Graphic Design from England back ten years ago, while I travelled around Bangkok-Pattaya often. So I bought some rare items from him many times. He was a guy who always owned that cool stuffs like Pharrell including Reebok Ice Cream Diamond & Dollar limited colors that doesn’t have it on retailers.  Those best stuffs from A Bathing Ape like jeans and Camo Trucker Hat.  He is also one of the sneakersheads that owns many Jordans, Nike SB like Paris, London exclusive and many more. (I’m not sure if you feel excited as I am)

Years after years, P’Poj has been one of the most respected persons I know where I respect his perception about life, his ways of thinking, and his works.  Most of the time we see he modifies stuffs, develop new things for real use like a new gadget.  For example, in the era of Iphone 1, he hacked the system to customize his own widget, icon, personalized theme, which I believe it’s amazing.  He also has his own first iPhone in shade of black and red Iphone, that opened to customize for limited orders.

Moreover, he has a good taste in fashion, his personal stuffs always limited items.  I remember his car, back in 2005, he drove BMW Series 1 with total Black , black film , and black mag wheel. During that time, BMW Series 1 was not what you see on street.  

Today I came to see him for an interview for #sneakavibes (check us out @sneakavibes #sneakavibes). I interviewed many people and two persons, Wirun and RQ777,  told us that P’Poj was one of their inspirations.  It was not a surprise because he also inspires me.  The interview went by discussing about his life before SixtySix Visual established, about what inspires him, about his future, anything else he wants to achieve.
